Counties Evangelist Mark Bingham shares how his ministry on the streets brought one young lady to give her life to Christ.

Mark and Amanda Bingham

We live in Maidstone in Kent. We have five children. I am on the leadership team of our local church. I have been a full-time Evangelist for over 15 years. I have a heart for the lost and organise a team of people from different churches across Maidstone to go out into town to share the gospel with people and I also do some children’s work. I am available to speak at outreach events, and church services and help to facilitate evangelism training for churches across Kent.

MARK’S STORY

One Saturday afternoon in Chatham, I was out evangelising with my church. It was a vibrant scene, as there were other Christians present who were worshiping on the street, creating an atmosphere filled with joyful praise and spiritual openness.

During our outreach, I came across a young woman named Kacey. We struck up a conversation about faith, during which I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with her. To my delight, Kacey made a heartfelt commitment to follow Jesus right then and there.

As we talked, Kacey shared that she used to attend church as a child with her grandmother. She had always wanted to return to church but had never managed to make it a priority in her busy life until now.

Before we parted ways, Kacey asked me to pray that her employer would allow her to have Sundays off, so she could attend church. I gave her a copy of John's Gospel and we prayed together, asking for God's guidance and favour in her situation. It was a truly blessed encounter that reminded me of the power of faith and community.

I have not heard anything from her since. It was in Chatham on the 15 June and I have only been there a few times since then, so, I have not come across her. I just continue to pray that we will meet her again sometime on a Saturday afternoon. Please pray with me that God will answer her prayer, and she will be able to attend church and God will continue to work in her life.
